My name is Mariann Farkas, hobby/amateur wildlife photographer with a passion for capturing the vibrant world of birds and the hidden details of macro photography.
My work spans two beautiful extremes:
-One day, I am tracking the skies and branches, waiting for the perfect split-second movement of a bird in flight.
-The next, I am focused on the miniature universes right beneath our feet—capturing the delicate, geometric wings of dragonflies, the pollen-dusted coats of bumblebees, and the brilliant colours of butterflies.
For me, photography is about patience and perspective. I love slowing down to reveal the extraordinary details that people often walk right past.
Every feather, wing flutter, and dewdrop tells a story of survival and beauty.
Above all, I practice strict ethical photography. Whether I am approaching a nesting bird or focusing on a butterfly on a wildflower, the safety and peace of nature always come first.
When I am not out in the field with my telephoto or macro lens, you can usually find me sipping a cup of coffee and editing the day's discoveries.

Welcome to my gallery. I hope these images give you a closer look at the stunning, fragile world around us.
